In the last few weeks of this course, I have explored two new programs from the Adobe Creative Suite. First is Adobe Photoshop CS2. I think that this program is very easy to use, as I have used earlier versions of this program before. However, there may have been many new features in this version that i have not seen and used compared to earlier versions. The second piece of software is Adobe Audition. Adobe Audition allows the user to record and manipulate sounds. I think it is very similar to programs that I have used like SoundForge and Apple's Sound Studio. The thing I like most about it is the effects; especially the doppler effects. I was mucking around with it the other day while manipulating sounds for my final portfolio.
If I had the money, I wouldn't mind buying this program (that is if they ever release a Mac version) as it would greatly enhance the quality of music that I have composed on my computer. Also, I wouldn't mind buying Photoshop CS2 as I think I need an upgrade of what I have (I currently have Photoshop 7) Now THAT is old.
